Hi. I am a semi-pro photographer, new to the wedding business. I think I'm decent with candids, but I struggle with posed and staged shots. The link above is to the first wedding I did as a pro (I've done others for friends with good results).

The ceremony took place in front of a black backdrop, which made alter shots a real challenge. The hall was a township center without any great places for set up shots, especially for an evening wedding in March in suburban Chicago. And on top of that, the bride and groom were not the photogenic types that you see in bridal magazines.

Any suggestion how I could deal with this? If you look at the rest of my website at www.kuehlphoto.com, you'll see that I'm not totally inept.
