That's a crank "news" website that has been sued for its libel and made to retract its falsehoods. Suggesting that AP is propaganda while quoting anything from that place is, politely, myopic. Read the section "Controversial articles" at Wikipedia.

Those of you outside of the USA, your comments are only opinion, thank God, those of you in the USA, especially the ones on this site with uneducated news bites... I won't worry, because you won't vote anyway. A president from any party can make a lot of negative decisions, but they'll clean up in the aftermath, however, if a president puts someone on the supreme court, we'll have to live with it for a very long time.
I'm not crazy about McCain, but the alternatives are really frightening and I don't care what camera you own.

Nikon -- Lean Right on most issues...

I wonder what would happen to the Iraqis if the next president pulled all troops out within 180 days of election?

Sorry if my post came across like I don't care about the Iraqi's. I care a lot about them. I detest war and wish that we could live in a world peace. War sucks.

One of the main reasons that we went into Iraq was to free them from Saddam, who was killing millions of people. One of our goals of this war was to save lives. We are doing that. The goal of the war isn't to obliterate Iraqis and maybe we aren't going about the war the perfect way, but I can hardly stand it when people say that we should back out of Iraq. The Iraqi citizens as a whole don't want us to back out, because we are protecting them from the Radical Islamist groups that are attacking them as well as our troops.

I didn't mean to come off like I didn't care about the innocent Iraqi's. I wish war wasn't a part of life, and that we could all live in peace. That would be awesome. I'm not one of those political people that thinks that everyone on the same side as them is perfect. I don't think that Bush is the best president we have ever had, but I do agree with the war in Iraq.

My main point in stating that it gets blown out of proportion is that the media tries to appeal to our emotions by saying that we are losing tons of American soldiers. There are a lot of crazy Americans that only care about Americans, and when they hear that we are losing all these Americans, then they want us to pull out, just like the media wants. That was my only point. Really, I care about everyone involved just as much if not more than anyone on this site, and I hate the fact that innocent people are dying, but we are also saving innocent lives over the longhaul, and protecting our own.

Thats all I meant, and I hope that no one things that I'm just some insensitive jerk, I really do care about human lives, and I agree that we shouldn't be selfish in who we care about. Sorry if I came across sounding insensitive and harsh.

Funny how some groups are called terrorists one day and later on in history they become special and trusted allies.

Do take the time to study the history of the middle east and you will soon find out that not all that long ago there existed a group of individuals that were referred to as terrorists by the British and others.

Can you guess which country I am alluding to?

As Chairman Mao once said, "Power extends from the barrel of a gun." That's why I shoot Canon.

I don't think that's even physically possible from a logistical point of view.

From what I have read: The minimum time to withdraw forces from Iraq, assuming a full and "immediate" withdrawl was ordered is 18 months. That assumes the withdrawl can be done without any interference, bombings, snipers, road side bombs etc..... A much more realistic time table is 24 to 36 months. The only way to accomplish a full pull out within 180 days would be to abandon every piece of equipment and use a massive number of commercial airliners to withdraw forces.

To stay somewhat on topic- Pentax- Indie (or Indy when I wear my hat and leather jacket)

I shoot Nikon, Canon, and Pentax.
I'm an anarchist. Not registered, of course. And Ray, the Brits considered the Americans terrorists too.

For some reason I read this as I'm an antichrist. And thought, well thats a bold- although not political statement. Then I re-read it and felt kind of stupid, now I'm letting the world know, which makes me feel even stupider, yet, I am still writing it.... oh well .

Wouldn't it be weird to revive a 6 year old post... I was actually looking for something else. ;)
