I am going to start giving out my own awards, a la Posthumous and others. Details to come later. But I need some nifty little award icons. I want to do Golden Bear, Silver Bear, and Bronze Bear. I'm throwing it up to y'all to see who wants to design the icons. The winner of the "design contest" will be awarded the first Golden bear :-)

So what are the requirments to acheive these Bears? What is it that you are looking for??

Jack Nicklaus has a pretty nice gbear logo...bet it's trademarked, though.

I have not nailed that down yet. I have ideas but I am still thinking. In the meanwhile I just need golden, silver, and bronze bears, identical except for color. Teddy bears are OK. I am not fussy. I just want something graphic.

I won't have photo editing ability until I get my new computer next week, but my thought is: teddy bear holding your thorny teardrop (as in self-portrait). The droplet itself is the colour you want for the awards.

instead of a Bear trophy. You could take make a .gif of Karma. And you could give out Bear's Karma points. And when people receive your award more then once they can start collecting karma points. :P

EDIT: Bonus prize to the person who tells me what the song is :) It's not Bear related at all - it just had nice shapes for a background...but any musicians older than 30 ought to be able to work it out from the visible intro ;)

those are cute, but seem a shade on the large side. One of the pawprints on its own could be really iconic in both senses.
