Well I have an interview with a well respected portrait studio near me next thursday, and im wondering if anybody has some last minute tips for me. im taking a portait lighting workshop to get a refresher but im a bit nervous. to be honest there are probably lots of other qualified candidates out there for the job but i need to set myself apart from the pack.

Be yourself...that is something no one else can be.

Do they want you to exercise artistic license in your pictures, or simply execute the pictures they want you to take? Find out, and let them know that you can do that.

Don't go into it thinking there are many others that are better than you. There are (there always are), but if you don't convince yourself that you're the best, they aren't going to believe it, either.

Find out why you're good, and let them know. There's a reason they posted the position, and you need to know what they need.

Thanks for the fast reply's. They let the photographer have a lot of creativity. they get the choice in composition on each picture, however there are certain expectations depending on the client. For senior pictures they have 2 indoor shoots. 2 outdoor shoots. three outfits and 2 props or something like that. i am sureley going to target the pictures to my audience. i just need them to know that i am capable. does last minute portfolio updates sound like a good idea to anyone.
