I've had 'License to Kill' in my head all day, so I think to myself, actually what is the greatest Bond song ever? Goldfinger? You Only Live Twice? Goldeneye? Die Another Day? (okay, maybe not that one)
So let's have your favourites folks... For the record, my vote goes to Duran Duran's sublime (ahem) A View to a Kill. Worth a listen if you don't know it! |

That's easy.
Live and Let Die by Paul McCartney and Wings
Nothing else even comes close! ;-) |

I agree Live and Let Die. First one that always comes to mind and has survived the times. |

the GNR version all the way. Not used on a bond movie, but it's a bond song. |

Live and Let Die rocks, and I like View To A Kill too. |

I also agree that the GNR version is excellent, but since it technically wasn't used in the movie, you can't really count it. |

Mat Munro's 'from russia with love' and 'all time high' by Rita Coolidge! Beautiful songs by great singers!!! But they're all great, I love every single one of them apart from the ones post timothy dalton, with the exception of goldeneye and casino royale!
Jason bourne would kick bonds arse though!!! he he ha ha! |

I'm sorry, but Goldfinger {Shirley Bassey} is the all-time classic best Bond song -- and score. Followed by You Only Live Twice {Nancy Sinatra; and Bjork has a nice version, too]. Live and Let Die is pretty cool, though. :-)
edit: NOT that it's one of my favorites, but we should also mention Tom Jones singing Thunderball -- great performer, so-so song.

I loved the Chris Cornell sung song for the most recent Bond film Casino Royale. Besides that one Live and Let Die is probably my favorite. |

Yeh, Live and Let Die or the Chris Cornell one, despite it not really having a lot to do with Casino Royal from what I can make out...

Live and let die.
"Living daylights" is also pretty good.

This is not a classic, but I like Die Another Day by Madonna. I especially like the extended remixed version of it.
