Day 4 dawned clear and sunny with frost covering everything. Shot several frosty things on the deck, but loved how this macro of a chair seat came out. Cropped a bit but otherwise didn't need to do much processing on this one.

This was taken in downtown Houston. This sculpture is located infront of one of buildings. There is music to go along with the sculpture that gives that impression that it is playing the violins. |

Day 04 - Winter Wonderland
This is the skating rink in Millennium Park, the Chicago "Bean" (aka, Cloud Gate sculpture) is actually right above and to the left. I wanted a shot that had the skaters and the Bean, but couldn't find a good angle that showed both well with the 20mm, which was the only lens I was carrying. |

This isn't my photos for the day, but several people have commented that they wanted to see a photo of the melon musket in action, so this is for them.
I will be on again later tonight hopefully with a nice photo or two from today for the PAD.
My apology about the hijack, but it seemed the simplest way to serve the request as the DPC'ers who asked are watching this thread. No need to comment on these two shots.
Ok... Back to the regularly scheduled program in progress.... : )

I got home too late this evening to do much outdoors in the way of photography, so I set up the tripod in the front room. I initially took three photos, so that I could do an HDR, but that failed. I think that that might have something to do with the extreme drop-off in brightness around the lamps. This version just got the benefit of a Lightroom conversion and a bit of fiddling.

Just an ornament from the holidays.
And a recently completed stained glass piece (my youngest son's holiday gift!) He requested a piece to commemorate his favorite brew. The things a mom will do when her son asks!!

 My office/workspace is where the ginger is in this photo. Oh yeah, this is a self portrait as well. I'm the bald guy with the camera.
 Ti Leaves are a favorite subject of mine but I swear I don't live in one.
