| a neopreme cover for the canon 70-200 2.8L IS is 90 dollars (generally) it comes in camo as well as white and black... the question is, is it worth it? does anyone own one or know someone who does? |

this stuff also has like clear windows and stuff to fit the lens exctly
would obiously get this in white... but... you gt the idea

Go for the CAMO!!! :-) I'm considering one of these for a new lens on the way myself. Might put it on the Christmas list. :-P

You never know when your going to find yourself in the middle of a war and wishing to have the camo! Afterall with a big white canon lens you would be a sitting duck!

| i just think it might be a good investment if im going to be out in the cold with it cause the exterior is metal and it will get verry cold on the hands |

This is just me thinking outloud, but if its cold outside wouldnt you be wearing gloves?

was that sarchastic at the end?
and gloves and small buttons dont mix...especially gloves that are in the snow alot from strapping in bindings...my golves have a leash on them and i take them off to take pictures but if im standing for X hours taking pics my fingers will fall off |

Bit of a side track...semi-related I guess; I bought some fingerless gloves at the local sporting goods store last year. There is a mitt that flaps back and fastens with velcro, thumbs also. Works great in cold weather. Really easy to use. There are several models available with various materials (microfleece, wool, etc...).

see in the snowbaording world..style is so differnt .... i do my own thing i might invest in the lowepro shooting gloves and keep them in my pocket/camera bag

| If you have that kind of money to cover a lens by all means have at it... I can assure you that its not needed though. I shoot snowboarding all winter and a cold lens has never been and issue. I typically wear pipe gloves and the glove on my left hand always stays on... the glove on the right hand comes off while I shoot. I dont usually shoot long enough in one spot to get that cold. |
