Look at the EXIF data in Photoshop. It will tell you the max aperture of the lens.

My guess is the 85 1.2L

With all the electronic communication from lens to camera nowadays, why cant the EXIF show which lens was attached at the time?

My EXIF doest show it, just a blank space, is it a Nikon thing or a cheaper lens thing? or some other thing?

Probably a Nikon thing...LOL! (just kidding)

Does it show up in the software that comes with your Nikon? If so, maybe it's a proprietary tag and that Windows or PS, or other software doesn't recognize it?

Steven, just use your 50mm below 2.8 at all times and then you have no overlap, so the focal length and aperture will tell you which lens you used. ;)

If you're using a newer lens and an older body you may have to update the camera's firmware to recognize the lens.
