Hey Jeb - I stole a picture, hope you do not mind!

Warning: I suck at a lot of aspects of Photoshop so I hope this does not horrify too many of you lol.

Here's an idea for you. I love this picture because it really focuses on her smile. I felt the background was a distraction because some of the lines run into her head. So I just did some cloning of the background (and then tried to create some kind of awful funky background out of it).

A black or white background did not look right against her skin tone, so I thought - why not make it pink? In looking at what I did, I actually think that it would look better with less pink than what I have. And I still feel that her shirt may be just a tad too bright.

This is a quick and dirty mock-up, but I thought it might help give you or someone else some ideas about how to edit this picture. I feel you did a good job capturing her essence and that is why I feel you should use this picture!

What will be on the cover?

If nothing is "planned" yet, I was going to volunteer the shot sher posted earlier in the thread. :) It is pink, and allows another person to be involved without trying to rush a shot.

Great idea ... although this is an example of a thread that could have used a more descriptive title! I bypassed this thread for two weeks because I wasn't interested in (or at least didn't think I would be) some kind of "A Calendar." Now that I've finally come in and read this, I would have loved to have taken part, as my mom is a breast cancer survivor and my dad is a cancer survivor as well. I've done the Avon Walk in honor of my mom and she would have been a great model for this. Nice work guys!

Keeping everyone posted.........just got off the phone with my model. She is very excited to do this and can't wait until tomorrow.........

I should be there around 3 or so to get a few photos then I will edit and upload tomorrow.

There are some days I cannot even get a 100KB file uploaded. There have been times when I had to dump a 15KB challenge entry to disc and go to a friend's place to enter a challenge.

There have been times when I was able to get a 4MB file out.

I wouldn't even bother to waste the time to try and send a RAW file....mine are all 5-6MB.

I'm trying to send Jojo SOMETHING, but I'm not having much luck.

I started out with a 2.5MB file, now I'm down to a 1.6MB file, I'm on my 6th attempt, and I will try in the middle of the night, but if you're serious, I can burn the files I have to disc, and go to a coffeeshop with the kid's laptop in the morning.

You can Fedex overnight the cd to me if you want, I can paypal you the funds if that is an issue. PM me if you'd like to do that. No shortage of bandwidth here. If you smash them down too small they are't going to be suitable for printing.

At 220dpi the resolution needs to be 2200 x 1760px.
