Is that your only shot or do you have some outtakes? If you have some wider shots that would leave some room around her then photoshop to the rescue. I'm sure everyone here has loads of christmas shots laying around. I know I have hundreds of megs of artsy tree/ornament shots and stuff you could comp in. |

I need to get some sleep and get to this later tomorrow. I'm kinda depressed about this now.
I have some other shots, and I did crop this, but I have this damn dialup, which means that I can't get anything decent sized out, and the shots all need work 'cause of the flash.
I have a church meeting through most of the day tomorrow, but I could dump the five RAW files I have to disc and send them to someone from the church.
I'll check in the morning and see if anyone will save my tail on this.
I'm a better photographer than PSer, sad as that may be.

I have no idea what to do with an environmental thing considering I have September. I'm taking a pic on Monday. I'm hoping someone can help when I am done!

Just make the photo about your subject and have fun. That's all you have to do.

Well I travelled a 9 hour round trip to get this photo. This is of my mum, a breast cancer survivor. I has included both colour version and well as desat version.
NOVEMBER - The Melbourne Cup, "The race that stops a nation".
Could someone let me know where the original needs to be emailed to as well as size, I know the 8x10 but was wondering about resolution for printing. Also specifically what info is wanted? The models name and basic experience. How many words are needed? Hope this is what is wanted. |

JoJo we are doing the 12 thumbs at the back right? Surprise cover photo.
Will the calendar part itself need holidays listed? American holidays, canadian..etc... or leave all holidays off?
Think we can do the pink breast cancer ribbon on the bottom of each calendar page? |
We are doing the 12 thumbs on the back. I will make that page when I put it together for the final disk. No holidays listed as this will be sold in Australia as well. We can designate October as breast cancer awareness month since it is the awareness month here in the states.
Pink ribbon on the bottom of each page sounds like a grand idea :)
We will have to make one from scratch in PS though, can't use anyone else's .gif :) |

I LOVELOVELOVELOVE IT!!!!!! :)
the original (edited) can be photoshared if you will but temporarliy add me to your messenger list on Yahoo. :) OR, sign on to Yahoo! Messenger with the username that I PMed you earlier in the week. I will go and add myself as a friend to that name right now :)
Resolution should be at least 220dpi saved at about a quality of 10 or higher. Your 300dpi should be perfectly fine.
What you want from your model is a basic experience to go in the blog with her photo. This should be about a paragraph (4-5 sentences). You also want one sentence stating what her philosophy on life is. This is for the calendar :)
BTW, I LIKE the selective desat, it makes the calendar feel cohesive. Without it, it is just a bunch of photos with some pink in them somewhere :-/

Yeah.....okay......8>)
I can't get on the base, I'm a civilian and don't work there, and they won't generally let you take photographs around the military installations here anyway......Homeland Security. We have a whole pile of military installations here and they take their security very seriously.
The only thing we have in common is this support group, and it's not activity specific. Last night was actually the first time I saw her outside the group and in a coffee shop. We have virtually nothing in common other than she has just always been a wonderful inspiration and a dear friend. We live 45 minutesa apart and lead separate lives.
I guess I missed the whole point here somehow.
I thought we were pretty much just doing basic portraits.
I really don't know what to do now. |
Jeb, dear, relax... please :)
Now, the next time you are in the coffee shop, have her put on a santa hat and pose in her chair with her hand on a steaming cup of coffee. Have her looking out the window and smiling at all that life has given her after she stared down death and kicked his a**. That says moving on and living to me :) |

Think she meant to send them to her via yahoo messenger. Free download from yahoo. I wouldn't upload them to the blog thing, that is public (whole internet can see it). |

The blog is an easy one, you just sign in with the e-mail address and PW provided and type what you want in new post, it has a button to add a photo (you may want to post an outtake downsized to about 600 on the longest side) and you just upload it from there :) when you are done, just click on the post button. If you like, you can e-mail the photos and what you want to put in the blog to me and I will happily update it for you :) I am jojophotoe@yahoo.com
Yahoo! Mail is a free web based e-mail service that you can use to share photos. Yahoo! messenger goes hand in hand with it. It is easy and if you don't have it, you can download it free. |

cross your fingers, I'm getting ready to look at mine . . .
Definitely a stretch, a challenge and a humbling experience.
Cloudy skies (it was a beautiful blue until an hour or two before the shoot).
Zero wind. Zip, nada, nothing, zilch. Ever try flying a kite without wind?
Bad kite. November is not a good month to buy a kite. when I did find some, my choices were 101 Dalmations, Star Wars and Transformers or something. :)
The good thing is that my models were awesome, cooperative and seemed to have fun. :)
Post processing can fix a lot. Let's hope I can fix enough. :) |

These were the 5 I sent to our editor-in-chief. I'm really glad I took part in this, it was a great experience on so many levels. Can't wait to see the calendar.
