Breast Cancer has touched us in our lives over the years and we are in the process of losing a very close friend to breast cancer right now and watching her die and not being able to do anything for her is breaking our hearts. We are all touched in our lives at one point or another by cancer in all its many formes and anything that can be done to aid in research is well worth it. We would love to purchase one so Please keep us informed.
Thank you to all who were able to shot this wonderful calender (with the amazing photographers it could be nothing eles but wonderful)for such a fantastic cause.

Thank you so much for your support!! :)
I am very sorry to hear about your friend, perhaps we can make a difference, even if a small one. |
Thank you for that, I'm afraid that there is no real hope for Karen and she is only 40, there is no history of this in her family anywhere on either side. Her first bout was 4 years ago and we thought (hoped, prayed) it was over, but to no evail. She is in hospital now with no hope for returning home again. Life is not fair, but we all konw that.
We lost another friend on the weekend, his wife is batteling cancer and has been for 5 years one of the most aggressive types (don't remember the clinical name sorry) and he passed away from a heart attack with no prior warning and again no history in the family. He was a runner and so healthy, one never knows. She was stunned , for obvious reasons as was everyone else. Now we'll all watch over her. He was only 61 and she is 57 and my wifes former Principal.
Thanks again TCGuru keep up the good work.

Dave, thank you for attempting to help, as that is the most important part in all our efforts - I hope things are better for you soon...
JoJo, I've contacted someone there in Dayton, whose wife is a survivor. He has expressed initial interest, and I believe they will be contacting me soon. I told him that they would be receiving royalty payments directly from you, in exchange for her involvement (hope you don't mind..... KIDDING!!!!!) Seriously, they are both quite involved in the community, and all around terrific people. Call me later today & I'll have more details...

Hey guys I could get someone pretty quick as I know many breast cancer survivers and could most likely set something up for a September shot. Would love to help if I could.

I have poor painting skills. I think that some photoshop magic may help in this situation.
Of course, a randomly placed hard hat could look a little out of place lol. Any other ideas? Is anyone already using pink carnations?

I'm not... I am going with a formal gown and pink confetti :) I figured it was a "live life to the fullest" kind of concept that also goes with New Year's :) |

I finally found my model! There is a cancer support group at the NYC LGBT center and the moderator was kind enough to send my casting call to her email list. I got a ton of responses, but the first one was from a survivor whose mother died of breast cancer and who now runs a survivor support group. She's great! We are shooting on Saturday. |

Just wanted to post and let eveyone know mine is still scheduled for the 20th as that is when she is back in town. Got a lead for Eric and should know for certain in two days. A friend's husbands boss just went through reconstructive surgery for breast cancer and he is going to talk to her and see if she is willing.

Are any of y'all any good at writing press releases? I thought it might be interesting if we had one to send to our respective papers and see if any of them might run it. |

I can't do it tonight, but if it is not done by tomorrow, i'll take a stab at it and post it. It might provide a jumping off place for a better one. |

Sorry to be so quiet, but I was having trouble contacting my survivor. She is a tremendous spirit and I love her dearly, but she is hard to nail down as she is always on the go.
I just spoke with her, she is THRILLED to be a part of this, and she and I are hopefully getting together tomorrow evening.
She has the kind of face that when she smiles, she lights up the room, and I'm hoping that I can get what could be a Free Study quality look from her for this calendar. I hope to not disappoint......she is *such* a doll! But I have never had her in front of a camera before.
Fingers crossed!!!!
