I shot one in black and white while I was there just to see. Well I like it so much is there a way to bring back the pink in Canon's software or in Adobe?

Yeah, in Adobe, just paint with pink on a new layer in color mode. That's how I brought back the pink on mine after B&W conversion. |

I added to the blog. If someone with far more patience than me cares to figure out why the text formatting in the October post seems to change fonts at random and can fix it, I'd sure appreciate it. |

Ok, B&W photo is the background layer.
Create a new layer. Set it's blend mode to color.
Now with a paint brush, paint pink over the parts you want pink.
Adjust opacity of color layer to taste. |

Hit CTRL-J
-Choose your brush (probably large with a hard edge, then make it smaller as you go to get the fine details)
-Select a color from the palette
-Paint away - remember to let go of the mouse button occasionally, in case you need to 'undo' a mistake
-Any major problems can be erased on this new layer, instead of the original
-Done
(you could always just 'fill' the new empty layer with the paint bucket & then just erase what you don't want)
Call me if ya have any questions

Probably not. Can you just email a file to me and I can post it on my website for people to grab.

I apparently screwed up the ones I sent to routerguy666 and they were wrong.
|
Go to the file. Right click it and select "properties" Click the Summary tab then the dreaded "Advanced" button.
DPI should be listed in there.

That didn't work.....it gave me a weird dialog box that asked me about attributes.
I did get this file uploaded to Flickr.....can you look at it and see if you can get it in usable form?

I just noticed I can get a 1024X819 size. TCGuru is that too small? I know you are having a hard time with that dialup. Can you upload it to my website if I give you a login and a gallery to try to upload it to?

Well, I did finally get to the properties.....that one's only 96dpi, so I'm trying to upload another......it doesn't seem like it's going to go.
I guess I've pretty much created a problem. I have no idea what to do.

ATTENTION again! :)
For all photographers that will be ordering the Calendars for re-sale. I will be placing the orders with the publishers as they come in. If you are interested in placing your initial orders now please go ahead and send me a PM here on this site (if you cant PM me, gwe21@msn.com ) and let me know how many calendars you would like to order. I will then send you an invoice with the exact costs including shipping etc..
I will be finalizing the pricing tomorrow and if you would like to know just shoot me a PM.
I set up the ADD TO CART button on the blog for the public to purchase the calendars. This is NOT the link for us photogs to order as it will charge you the 15.00 plus shipping on this link.
Any other questions just give me a shout!!
Great work everyone! I think its all going to come together fantasticly!

If I wanted to put some in my shop for resale, say about 10, to see how they go, how much is that going to cost me to get to Australia,(roughly) Also do I pay for this upfront or forward the funds. Sorry if I am asking an already answered question but couldn't find anything pertaining to0 these questions. |

Any luck with the RAW files?
I feel like someone just cut the mooring rope and I'm adrift with no oars. |
Something is wrong with the raws. Your good luck at work again...
Your color jpeg original is at 240 dpi and larger than 8x0 so its usable. Just needs to be edited. Here's a crack at it. This is a really tough shot and I wish I had more time.

Can I make the suggestion to make the face a little lighter. It just seems to be a bit dark on my monitor. Maybe someone else can chime in and say whether it is dark on theirs. |

Me again. Just looked on the blog and noticed that she isn't in black and white so its not so dark. Were you planning on keeping the Christmas hat in red? It would look awesome in pink :) |

Happy to help!
Actually thank Leroy - he's the one that placed the 911 PM to me.
(btw, not sure if you noticed, but I extended the canvas a bit on the bottom and rebuilt the blank canvas from above it.
Made for a little better crop in an 8x10 - take a look at the strap now - nearly comes to a "V") |
