I just found out about this about a month ago but never had the chance till now to get everything together.
American Photo Magazine is holding a contests for photos taken between September 2006 - September 2007.
There is an entrance fee of 25 a photo or 40 dollars for a series of photos (up to 10 shots).

I am really bad at posting links so you can also go to popphoto.com, next click on contest and then click on the very first contest of the list.
There are awesome prizes to be won, HD LCD TV, camera, printer, computer, and so much more.

OH GEEZ, I did not notice the deadline which is september 14th but there are still many other cool contests to be entered so check them out and just check back to this site whenever you can to see if more new contests have popped up.

Better yet, keep looking at this thread.
It will be around to give the most updated info that myself, and others can find on the internet, magazines, newspapers and bathroom walls.

Well, excuse me. I searched "contests", because I remembered seeing that thread. Made sense to me...
I dunno, I kind of like that other one, with everything in easy-to-scan little boxes :) |

I thought I'd pop in and see what was going on, because I've been getting loads of visits to my website because of this thread!
Thanks for the plug BeeCee! I really work hard on the photo contests ... and as you mentioned there are photo contests on both the ongoing and deadline pages.
What many visitors don't realize is that I also have some photo contests in the "Fun contests" section. The reason some photo contests are put in this section is because they are judged on more on "concepts and ideas" than on photography skills. Absolute amateurs can win these contests simply because they have a good idea!
the FUN section also has an ever growing number of VIDEO contests. So if anyone is a YouTube lover be sure to take a look at ways you can win gobs of prizes for your efforts! //www.proofpositive.com/contests/free-contests.php

PS BeeCee ... I loved your comment "everything in easy-to-scan little boxes :)" YES ... I try to make it EASY to scan a pile of contests to find something appropriate to you!

Ooooh, I didn't make the connection with it being run by a fellow DPC'er! Actually  Acrotide gave me the link while we were chatting the other day. Maybe he knew, but I didn't :)
