A newbie photographer and my first posting to dpc. I was shooting some video of my dogs with my Everio GZ-HD7 when the sunset went off (left my Canon D40 at home - first mistake). So I shot with what I had, hence the lower quality. The elements in the shot are straight from the camera, ie, no image manipulation. I adjusted the sky and sea colour with curves (but not much) and cropped the area of the sea by about 50% to produce a more lateral and balanced format. I would appreciate any constructive suggestions on whether this is a comparatively good shot and how you might improve on it? Your comments are greatly appreciated.
