Your Favorite Places Photo Contest

Did anyone else enter the Canon Your Favorite Places photo contest?

I just squeaked in on the last day; I was on the outdoor photographer site renewing my subscription and saw the contest.

However, if I search the site for my shots, they appear to be there, but I can't find them.

I submitted:

"Acadia Rocks!"
and
"Portal to the Heavens"

When you search, it takes me to page 138 and 139 respectively, but I don't see my shots.

Anyway, if you go there and see them, be sure to vote. I think this is unfortunately one of those "popular vote" contest, which basically amounts to the person with the most friends ;)

And send me a link if you find my shots!

lucky for you, you have a whole entire site voting for you, ;-)

eta: we need to all vote on one shot, because you can only vote on one, i personally voted for "portal to the heavens", well done neil, great shot

For Information: This first "popular voting" phase of voting is used to pick the photos that will enter the judging phase. The first phase goes until July 31. Then the judging begins and winner announced in late August. Grand prize is an SLR!

It goes without saying to feel free to look through the entire gallery if you like and vote for whatever photo you like (you can only vote once). But, of course, I'd love to get in the judging phase and see how I do!

Many thanks! It's a short voting period; hopefully I'll know in early august whether it made it to the judging round.

And FWIW, it's "Acadia Rocks!" (Acadia National Park.)
