Why do i always get a black screen when shooting a tv,laptop or a mobile phone ! is there a way to capture what on screen ! |

your shutter speed is to high try a slower shutter speed |

You have to turn the TV on to get an image on it. |

this is very much true. try different speeds. use Tv mode. |

a tv screen has something like 32 images a second I think so ya need no faster than 1/30 |

PAL is 25fps
NTSC is 30fps (29.97)
but then it all depends on the refresh rate of the screen, ;)

Computer monitors can be set at different rates, but in the US most are 60Hz, which is also the standard screen refresh for a TV. The refresh rate is different than the frame rate. Sometimes you can take a picture and get a black bar across the screen which has to do with that refresh rate. Try setting your shutter to 1/60 and see what happens. Any faster than that and you will see the actual electron gun drawing the image on the screen.
