I would have to agree with router... The Eryn shots (except for the first one in b/w) all look forced. Kinda like she was pissed off and didn't really wanna be there. The poses don't look natural (spelled c o m f o r t a b l e) and kinda awkward. The Sam shots look much more natural like she enjoyed the situation more. The exception to my overall opinion would be the Sam shots from far away with the grafitti wall. You lose her there. She doesn't seem to be the important part of the shot. The close ups are good but not the far aways...

I completely agree - I like the shots of Sam MUCH better - although the BW shot of Eryn is ok... I still think its going to be VERY hard to beat Kat - the model I got a ribbon with 2 weeks ago.

Yeah there is not enough of a connection with the camera. She has the same series of poses and her face never really changed. Cool location. Maybe a tad touch too much clutter. But not bad at all.
Sam's are very good!

Sam 371 or any of the ones in that series is the best for me. She is perfect in that pose. You have positioned her to hide any imperfections in her shape and her back is arched wonderfully. Great pose. However, the dark part of the boiler(?) is a major distraction. Cuts off the view of her thighs and is a disappointing intrusion.
The setting for the Eryn photos is very exciting. To me it looks like she was trying to interact with another photographer who she was facing in most of the shots. Or maybe someone else was over there. The lack of connection to you and me as a viewer, lets most of that set down. She didn't change her facial expressions much either. |

There were three photogs on this shoot - and I am not sure she liked me all that much - so that could explain some of it. |

Eryn - I really enjoyed the graffiti ones, the oil barrel was interesting, but the sticker on the front is too distracting. Overall they're really good though
Sam - the very first one is excellent - erotic with out being overly, IMHO. I also like some of the close ups of her in the purple bra, the grafitti in the background was an excellent choice

Ok, I tried to check the gallery, but there are way too much photos in there to critique.
That's why I'll ask you a question: which ones did YOU find the best? Not only technical, but also compositional, lighting, pose, colors, expression, etc. etc. Pick your top 10, edit them, and post them again.
Then we'll talk ;) |
