ohhh i missed the start. I think im gunna join in if no one minds. I have photos from almost every day that this has gone on so maybe ill just play a little catch-up!

day 7 ..
i live in australia and its 7th July at 7.55am right now !! .. so i'm not jumping the gun ..
this is a photograph of part of a truck which is parked out the front of my house while the council workers fix up our firetrail ..

and monica .. the more the merrier !! :)

First 3 days are up!. It's been a busy week so my life is looking more glamourous than normal with all the different locations. I actually had a bummer time picking cus some days I was in 2 different cool places at once... and a million photos I liked of each.

hi guys ..
i think 'firetrail' might be another one of those words that not everyone knows .. much like sloppy joes, trackies, singlets, spencers and jumpers !!!!!
i live in a pretty rural setting and our land borders a huge expanse of natural australian bush .. being a land of extremes we have not only incredible droughts but flooding rains as well .. eg .. my country .. a poem by dorothea mackellar
the bush fires in these areas are particularly fierce .. the firetrails are set up to give access to the bush for the purposes of fighting fires and also so that they can do burn-offs, so that when a fire does come thru its not as bad, because they've already burned off a lot of the dead undergrowth that contributes to the power of some of these fires .. in very high winds tho the fires literally tear thru the canopies of the trees ..
hope this clears up the latest word of confusion !!! ..:):)

and hey kelly !!!! .. i've put the poem in here for everyone to see ..:):)

ahhh, okay, we do something here. every so often the forest service will cordon off an area and do a controlled burn of the undergrowth.

what an edu-ma-cation we get here!!!

Okay... That's all I can say... Okay

After I submitted the above photo I went to my friends Jennifer and Fred's. Jennifer is a nurse and one of the best wedding florist in towns. She was getting ready for a wedding on Sunday and I took the following photos. Sorry about the over submission, but anyone that's been watching my photos knows that I like pics of plants more than hair dressers.

We tried many ways to take a picture of this orchid. I think this one turned out okay... maybe a little too dark.


I like the colors in this one


And I think this is kind of a classic
