I have noticed that when in A-priority the camera behaves as in manual. I can change the shutter independtly from the Apreture.
I have spoken with the dealer & he says that it is supposed to do this. The A-priority & the P program behaves like semi manual. I don't know if he telling me porkies or what? Any suggestions please?

I think if you turn the "command dial" option in the menu off it will not do that.
