Has anyone tried out the Olympus SP550 UZ camera? Ive been looking at the G7 and have now come accross this one. It doesnt matter if it fits in my pocket or not. Ive been looking for the closest thing to a DSLR as I can. I cant afford a dslr right now and dont want to lug around a bunch of lenses. Ive pretty much been sold on the G7, but the the SP550 looks pretty nice and somewhat small. Any thoughts.

dpreview goes through all the features and comparisons, but doesnt give any personal insight from personal use, unless Im missing a part of the website. Ive read the reviews from b&hphoto and they seemed pretty good. Just woundering how well the 18x zoom is working out with the rest of the features of the camera. |

It's a Dave's Pick on Imaging Resource. The review looks like it has some of what you are looking for. |

when you are on the first page of the camera there are a lot of links usually overlooked right below the camera image, one is owners opinions (21 for this camera). Plus I usually go straight to the conclusion in the drop down to see the pros and cons.
Steves-digicams.com is another site a lot use. |
