I went to Bramham Park Horse Trials today in reality to promote a non photographic business.
Zara Phillips, daughter of the Princess Royal and 11th in line to the Throne of England was competing. She is the current world eventing champion. All round a worthwhile photographic subject.
I was due back on the stand as she was starting her round today and so I was forced to watch from the car park and had a view of a fairly benign fence (no 7).
She seemed to be riding normally taking off at the second part of the 7th.
No problems yet-
then
and
WHY DIDN'T THEY STAY SITTING DOWN??????????? |

I have spent two days this week in the pouring rain standing in the middle of a show jumping arena photographing the events as the horses flew only inches past my lens. I know the adrenaline rush of this type of event. And to have those people stand up at that particular moment must have been infuriating. I would have bopped them..lol!! |
