I'll be in Chicago on Sunday, June 17th and wandering about with free time Sunday afternoon and evening.
Other than the usual tourist spots I've been reading about in previous threads, is there anything going on in the city that day like a festival or something that might be interesting?
I'll be camping out on Magnificent Mile - if anyone local has some free time and wants to meet up send me a PM. :)

There's no major festivals on that particular weekend - at least not in the downtown area. Depending on what you like to shoot - there's mini-gardens along the Mag Mile (Michigan Ave) and plenty of people... There are a few neighborhood festivals: The Puertorican Festival; St. George Festival (Greek Orthodox); and the Taste of Randolph Street (which I would recommend for good food...).

NOTE: the Chicagoist just did an article about photography on our public transit - this would be good to check out before you come... |
