I'm on the computer all day with our company's software program, Excell, and Word. I'll sneak a peak every once in awhile too.

I'm a marketing consultant that works out of my house reviewing industrial communication journals. I get to spend all my time on my computer when I'm home and DP Challenge has replaced my normal home page (CNN) and my computer is programed to refresh the page every 10 minutes (left over from my CNN settings).
I have to work hours at night to catch up to what I mess off around here which is pissing off my wife >:-O |

I used to be a teacher, but had a baby in January and decided to be a stay at home mom. Technically, I am on maternity leave until June, then I will officially join the ranks of the gainfully unemployeed. Now, if I could just figure out a way to be paid for DPChallenge. :-) |

I start a new job on Monday in addition to having my own typesetting and design company. I gave notice at the old job and they immediately put me out the door with two weeks pay. |

I'm a research assistant in evidence-based medicine, and I'll be a medical student in September. I'm actually in the middle of editing a 200+ page report for publication as I'm writing this. But I'm very good at multitasking. |

I was just made the company photographer here at work (used to be one of their tech writers). We're an R&D company that makes educational software for kids. A lot of my day is spent taking pics of items that will be photo objects on screen, dredging through the horrible Corel photo library for stock shots, and taking shots for "books" we publish. I consider myself VERY lucky... *grin*

I was cloned fom the dicarded dna of a renegade govorment garbage collecter. I was activated 37 ago, and disguise myself as a common webmaster at a local credit union. Fortunately I spend most of my time online shirking responsibility and searching for ways to undermine the terrorist cell of the PTA.

I didn't think there were too many educational software companies left after TLC bought them all, closed them up, and sold all the assets to Mattel. It's nice to see that one or two survived.
I'm a programmer who mostly doesn't check these boards during the day because it's a pain to try to figure out what I have and haven't read once I get home. I'd love the ability to keep things marked unread until I read them (or mark them unread) and to bookmark posts to check on later, but I realize I'm asking for something non-trivial to implement, especially with this style of boards. I'm supposed to be working anyway. :-)

Laurie, I agree, I'm in the same boat. Luckily my computer faces away from the door so I can usually switch to another application real quick when someone walks in. So far, so good . . .
