I agree with you. My photo is the same way, it can be depicted as good or bad. I looked at a lot of the "good" and "bad" photos, and you can depict them as either good or bad. (if that made any sense) lol.

I really don't care about food being in it or not, I think that it is good that food isn't allowed because it opens the door to more creativity, however I hate that I see a lot of people being happy and not more creativity.

Bummer, was at 6.89 with 101 votes and looks like it has made a little drop....this photo has been yoyoing all over the place! Hopefully top ten still...

is including the word "good" in the title insulting people's intelligence?

i just got a comment saying so but i don't see how that is an insult...

Even a good friend wouldn't say something like that! That's not a comment that would help someone, anyway. It's hurtful.

Now Im below at 4.7 sigh....., someone told me that a more shallow depth of field should have been used in my photo. Well that is his opinion right, I think it is fine without a shallow dof.

My Good has limped to 4.0 something. Oh well, at least I'm getting some feedback, mostly positive, except from some joker who left ? by way of a comment.

Some people just enjoy peeing in other people's Cheerios. I've learned to ignore the bad/stupid comments, listen to the really useful ones - OK, at least 4 out of 9 comments on my Good say it's overexposed, so I know for sure that that's a problem with a shot - and revel in the good/nice comments.

Remember too, those Cheerio pee-ers...you don't have to click on the 'Photographer found this comment helpful' box.

Cheer up. You take great pics, I love your spooky Mystery and Magic shot on your homepage.

Going down again. It was going up, and now down down down. But the comments I am getting are good. I don't understand. I wish people would leave some feedback as to what went wrong in the photo.

Thanks for the lift and the compliment. You are very kind! I am over it now, but just once I wanted to speak out. You get a thick skin after a while. :)

You portfolio is full of fun and unique photos and very pretty animal images! Love the Octopussy image. Such creativity!!

Before I agree with snaffles, let me say that I was stumped by the Good/Bad challenges and didn't submit because the only things I could come up with seemed cliche and I couldn't even figure out a creative way to shoot those. Given the low number of submissions for each I think a lot of people had the same problem.

That said, it's been hard as a voter to get through these challenges. The creativity quotient seems to be way down. Especially with the "Good" challenge, I got the same impression snaffles did. I think a lot of the photographers forgot that, whether or not you think something is good or bad, you have to make a picture that conveys that idea to the viewer. The viewer should keep him/herself open to the message, but they should have to work too hard to "get it." There are a handful of images in each challenge, though that are fantastic: creative, well shot, and interesting.

(Although I think the submitters did a lot better job on "Bad" than "Good"). Not sure what that says about the DPC bunch, but I think I'll fit right in. ;)

i feel good about this right here! btw, as a matter of opinion, should i say that a comment was heplful even if it didn't say anything to help me take better shots in the future? say it was something more personal like, "you are sick and twisted", or, "i like your sense of humor", or, "nice butt". (all of these remarks may or may not have anything to do with my entry)
