| I am thinking about purchasing a telephoto lens for my Minolta DiMage 7 camera and wondered if any of you could advise on the best one for my camera. I emailed Minolta but they were now help at all. |

Don't you really mean telconverters? I have been looking for a good one for my Sony F707. I tried one from Canon already, a 1.5Xs and it produced too much color aberations, sort of looked like a badly aligned project tv picture. After reading up on the topic I realized that there can be some serious lens incompatibility issues. I believe it has to do with the ccd sensor being matched up to the lenses. Some may work just fine and others can produce color or sharpness problems. Fortunately I was able to take the Canon teleconverter back for a refund. I was going to inquire with Sony about a good teleconverter but I havn't done it yet. I'm thinking I won't get much of a response, either. Good luck and let us know if you learn anything more.
