I love the camera, I have had it for a few months now..but I do have one issue, and am hoping someone out there knows a solution...

I have used Minolta gear for years, love my old SRT201, still use it plenty, love my Maxxum 7000, and well, the Dimage has one issue that I cannot wuite figure out. It seems that when using the telephoto all out, with high speed stuff, like sporting events, I can't seem to get the focus quite right. Even with the shutter set to 1/2000, I get a not quite focused image. Is this just a limit of digital photography, or is there a way for me to check my focus better than what I can see in the screen? I recall reading somplace that I can zoom in tighter on the image in the veiwfinder...anyone else know about that? Or do I need to just stick with film for this sort of shooting?

with enough lighting, i use autofocus, then do fine-tuning on DMF (btw. i turn DMF all the time). on sporting events or any fast moving subjects i pre-focus... you just need to do experimentation on how your camera behaves.

I asked before about this too. It is a flaw in the DiMAGE 7 series, which is suppose to be corrected in the DiMAGE A1.

I find a lot of answers and suggestions in this yahoo group.
