Video
How to transform a rather boring girl into a fashion model in a very short period of time. Man I wish I could post-process as fast as that!
Funny movie

"No wonder our perception of beauty is distorded..."
Is this one again from the Dove-soapy-stuff? In Holland, Dove brings out ordinary girls (not skinny etc.) for their commercials. I love them, because that's just how we all are. This video proofs it.
Thanks Terje! |

Dove ran some great ads during last year's Superbowl along these lines. Very "against the grain" for typical superbowl ads, but very refreshing in their message - pointing out the distortion of body images and values that drives a lot of pathology in our society. |

That would be a fun challenge. Before and After from average person to supermodel shots. |

I know the point of the add and agree with the message but man that post work was super cool. |

Don't ruin it for me! I'm of the belief that it is all done with Dove soap! |

this was a great video! I think the beauty workshops look like a great idea as well. It's for girls age 8-12 and their mentors but I think something like this should start even younger! I wish they had 'self-esteem' workshop/classes for kids (boys and girls) when they're younger...I think it could do wonders.
It is strange isn't it? How we view beauty when we were young and how it changes as we grow older and see things differently.

Tequila shots can make some ladies look like supermodels too. ;-)
Great video, thanks for sharing. |

Q: What's the difference between a beautiful girl and an ugly one?
A: About 6 beers

It'd be fun to go the other way...make super models look "ordinary" or "average"...whatever that means. |

When I was in Japan this past Spring they also had billboards with ordinary women. The ads in the U.S. were very popular too.

Maybe they could give me that head of hair I have always wanted. |

And what they're not saying is that they offered that woman a free makeover in exchange for taking some shots of her. They made hundreds of thousands of dollars from the advertising campaign that she was the model for and she didn't get a penny of it.
