I have just started voting on the Urban landscapes and am taking a short break. I must say I am very impressed with some of the shots I have seen so far, have given some of the highest scores on some of these shots. Great job to all the submissions on Urban landscapes.

I agree. I've been disappointed by some of the recent challenges, but in this one, I haven't rated a photo less than 5 yet and I've already awarded a 10 and I haven't even made my 20% to make anything count. What I've seen so far is LOOKIN' GOOD! |

Yeah sure is welcome, the irony challenge didn't really have anything good in it, more about subject but Urban is full of great shots |

I agree as well. A very large number of truly great on topic photographs. I found myself stuck at the high side of the ratings thru nearly all of the pictures. Great colors, excellent night shots and some very interesting subjects. |

I'm looking forward to voting on this one! Here's a shot that appeared in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette yesterday. If I had the time, I would have attempted to replicate it in some form. We've had perfect weather for this kind of early morning shot the last couple days:

Definitely one of the better selections of shots in awhile.
I think I gave 6 4's,,, everything else was 5 and above.. well above.
Good work everyone! |

I haven't finished voting yet but I have to agree, there are some amazing photos there. It's going to be a tough run for the top slots in this challenge.

I agree - execellent shots a plenty. How long did it take some of you to pinpoint a shooting location? |

I don't usually bother voting on challenges I've skipped, but looking through the thumbs, even on my poxy work monitor, I can see it's gonna be well worth going through them all.
Gonna be tough to hand out 10s now I've seen the shot in this thread though! ; )

Wow, I was physically exhausted by the time I finished looking at all the photos... I thought there were many awesome shots, lots of average ones, and very few poor quality ones in comparison to other challenges. On the other hand, I'm sick of looking at buildings and anything that has to do with the word "urban"... I'm so glad I'm in a small town on an island, only a minute away from farm living and tranquil beaches. |

I shot subjects for about 6 hours in a dozen locations looking for the right shot at the right time. The funny thing is... I kept going back to the first photo of the day. It took me several days to hone it down to my favorite 5, and I still went with the first thing I took when I got out of the car. It is amazing how well everyone did! |
