Here is a new technique I've been wanting to do for a while. I got the original idea from looking at Joey Lawrence's work, but since I didn't buy his DVD yet I had to figure it out on my own. I also took other techniques I already knew and added them all together

What do you think? Be honest...

I think they're amazing.

I don't even know what else to say.. I love them.

Thank You. The technique isn't too hard once you figure out how to do it. This was my first time so they are kind of sloppy.

I'm fairly new at photoshop (I always thought it was cheating.. but I changed my mind.)
You've done exactly what I'm trying to do. Well...have tried to do on many occasions.

It's grunge.. sloppy is no issue. It has to be sloppy, or its not grunge. It'll look like those jeans you buy with the holes already cut in them.. yuh know?..fake..
I added these to my fav's.. I'm a sucker for mohawks.

Yeah, I guess they are ment to be sloppy. Thanks for the comment.

Does anyone else have a comment?

I really like this one. I never do this type of work but this made me want to try a few. Well done.

Thanks Pawdrix. That seems to be everyones favorite out of this group. But I like this one the most:

Maybe it's just becuase that's the one I put the most work into. You appriciate something more when you had to work hard to get it.

Like I said, it is pretty easy once you figure it out...and here is how you do it:

Go into a search engine and find GRUNGE brushes, then upload them into:

C Drive: Program Files: Abode Photoshop: Presets: Brushes

Make sure the file your uploading looks like all the other files. Then go into Adobe and start dodging and burning with the brushes. You have to click on the same spot about 5-20 times depending on what you're looking for. Its all about experimenting.

Good luck and have fun. If you have any questions ask, and if you do try it post the picture here.

Thank you very much for the tips Jeffrey.

I will try it myself one of these days. I like the first three better.

Your Welcome. Everyone should try this technique at least once. It's something new that would make a good portfolio piece.
