Took a few shots and added them online. Wondering what everyone thinks of them. I may enter a few of these in the county fair next month. CC greatly appreciated. So any pointers or comments would be helpful! :)

I like the crispness of your shots, and the colors are really vibrant. In my opinion, I think the frames you used are very distracting and take away from the photo itself. You can certainly take this with a grain of salt; I really like the caverns picture. |

All are very nice. The first one could use some burn at the bottom to separate the flower from the straw. And the last one, even though it looks great, could use some depth. All in all great job.

Ok, here is my take on the five images.
Flowers: The post processing on the flower is good and the focus is sharp. The background is very busy, with parts of other flowers showing and the mulch. If this was my image I would try to crop it as tight to the flower as possible (donât be afraid to try cropping some of the outer tips if necessary) and clone out anything that wasnât black or mulch colored.
Rose: The composition of this image is much stronger than Flowers. Then only improvements I could suggest are to clone in some greenery on the far right edge of the image to replace the white background showing through the leaves and to darken the mulch at the bottom right corner or even clone it out.
Kayak: This is my favorite of the five. I suggest you crop the grass at the bottom where it has been mowed. The taller grass helps convey where the kayaker is going towards but the cut grass looks odd.
Skyline: Something about this image doesnât look right. Besides being hazy, it seems to have a bluish cast to it. Iâm not good enough at PP to tell you how to fix this one. Hopefully one of the âprosâ will take a look and give you some guidance.
Caverns: I love the colors in this image but the bright light on the left ends really hurts the image a lot. You need to find a crop that you like that eliminates the light.
Hope this helps and remember, this is only my opinion so take it with a grain of salt.
Tim

I looked at the kayak one. It took a really long time to load so I didn't look at the others. Sorry. Maybe it was my service provider. But I think it was the same when I looked at one of your links from last week. Maybe try resizing them, if they are full size, so it doesn't take so long to load. |

I looked through the links, but all I noticed was the aweful borders. Honestly, I actually had to TRY to look at the photos themselves, as my attention was automatically and strongly drawn to the borders. Too distracting.
