Good deal if you need one, and NewEgg and Transcend are both reputable companies. |

Darn. Got excited but then saw it was SD and not CF. The CF version is 120x and $85, still a decent deal.

I'll take a look. I need to pick up a couple more cards for my China trip this fall.

So I take it you have used the Transend brand. Since I never have I'm a little concerned about buying a less expensive card and data corruption. Any issues you know of?

The very first large CF card I ever bought (in 2001) was a Transcend, and I've used them ever since. Never had an issue, ever. |

Thanks Shanon. That's good enough for me.

Might need a 4GB if I upgrade to the 10 megapixel Pentax. Hmmm, plan for the future, or not?
Currently use a Transcend 80X 1GB and works great.

I believe the SD standard was only designed for cards uptp 2Gb so the 4Gb cards do not comply fully with the standard and may not work in all devices. Does sound a great deal though. |

I bought a "MAX-Flash" card in San Fran, they said it is new brand, very happy with the results. 4GB SD 133x at an awesome price $49.99!!!! My brother-in-law runs a photo store in Colorado, he said "MAX-Flash" is hitting the market aggressively. //www.primememorysolution.com is the distributor in the US. |

I have no need for 4 GB cards. Yet.
Any of the equipment I have maxes at 2 GB. I've got 2 Transcend SD 4 GB cards that sit idle since I can't format them in camera, can't use them in the Epson P-2000, and they don't register in the Treo 650. No fault of the Transcend cards.

I'm surprised that they don't work in the D50 because they work fine in the D80

Oh, they work fine if you format them in a card reader, but they foul when formatted in camera. No firmware update for the D50 and a good year between the D50 and D80 releases.
