Hi guys,
I woke up to a lovely email this morning. One of my photos is going to be used for POTD in time square on July 10. It will also be the featured photo on the Kodak website for the month of July, if I read that correctly. I am more than thrilled :)
So Steve where ever you are, I am hoping you will be able to take a shot of mine too. You will have to quit your day job soon and work full time for the DPC people.
Here is the winning shot :)

nothing really, these pelicans are always on this roof in the late afternoon.. I just waited :)

Quick Question-- does the Kodak POTD need a large file for the display, or do you just submit like a 640x480'ish type resize?

Congratulations! thats so cool! Its a great photo.
I just submitted a photo to Kodak today for the first time and there were some issues with the confirmation. my computer was going really slow and the page never came up correctly. did you get an email from them when you submitted? just curious. if you dont mind answering. |

i honestly cant remember, but i checked my deleted and saved emails, and i dont have one from them, so maybe i didnt get one

Crystal...you do not get an email response from KODAK unless they choose your image for a POTD. And sit tight....sometimes it can take months....not always...but I have one going up in July that I submitted in December of 2005. |

and congrats to you too :) I submitted mine about 2 weeks ago. So I was surprised to get an email this early also to get one at all. I really didnt think it would do any good :)

Tim....I always submit around 600 x 800 and around 300kb. Have not had a problem with it. The site does not specify any file size. |
