| I̢۪m thinking about buying a Canon EOS-350D but I was wondering what other cameras are similar in quality so I can compare. Any ideas? |

350D is fine. Similar in 'quality' you say. Let's just begin by how much you can spend. I would say get the 350D and get good lenses. There's the 20D, the 30D, and Nikon cameras also.
Let the dSLR people elaborate on that ;-) |

check out the Nikon D50 and D70s for similar price. Any way you go both brands are great.
