School starts back 18th August for me, but worrafug eh? Thanks for organising, Chiqui, and have a great time all and sundry - I'm sure you will.

That date is in the diary, I will need to know at some time a week or 2 before the date what time we will be meeting so that I can get my train booked.

Thanks for organising this one June.

Great! LB has promised his spare bed so John (p2jvr) and I are planning to come down to meet everyone. Really looking forward to it!
Thanks for organising this, June.

I'm up for a mini get together on Saturday 22nd July (we don't need all those others, do we?)

As of now, since the GTG will be in August, I will be shooting a engagement session that day so I probably won't be able to make that one.

I'm not 100% certain yet but if I am free I'd like to come along... won't be able to confirm till nearer the time.

Just wanted to say that I booked my tickets today! I'm really looking forward to this. Now for a little research on where to stay in London or the area around there. If anyone has good ideas about lodging, please post or PM me. I'll be there from Friday to Monday. Can't wait to meet you all!

Cool. There are a couple of places recommended in the thread. A good resource for reviews is:

//www.tripadvisor.com

(although when reading reviews bear in mind that Americans tend to find all European sized rooms "small").

Is there anything that you particularly want to visit (other than attend the GTG)? The GTG is very central, so easy to get to from pretty much anywhere in London. I would make your decision based partly upon where else you would like to visit.

Put me down as a maybe. It all depends if its windy on the day, as if so I'll probably head to the south coast and go windsurfing instead!

Where does Chiqui's walk start and finish? There are a few pubs in the area that are open at the weekend. We could have an hour and a half in the morning, walking through the city, then lunch, then the walk around Holborn.

The walk starts at Temple Tube and ends at Holborn Tube. The problem with pubs for lunch is that you usually need to make reservations when you have a group this big and I don't think pubs do that. I am looking for restaurants. I think Noon will be a good time to meet up at the restaurant for lunch and then move on to shooting.

OK, the most reasonably priced restaurant around Temple Tube on Top Table is a Thai place. Anynot NOT eat thai?

No problem with John & I ( Sorry thought you only needed replies from those whose don't eat it!!!!)

With the weather as it is today, drinking might be the most important agenda!

Is anyone up for meeting in the morning to shoot before lunch?

Hi all: I like Thai, so I'll go to this GTG...LOL.

Seriously, June, Inma and me are quite interested in attending to this GTG, if there are still free places. We don't have still the trip, but we'll try to go.

Pauline, i will be coming down on the train to be there about mid morning so could meet you somewhere.

I will be coming into st pancras, so anywhere on the Northern Line, Piccadilly, Central, Hammersmith & City, or Victoria.

You can email me or ring me if you want.

As I live in Reading I intend to get into London reasonably early, so if there is a crowd collecting let me know where and I will be there!

Hi Ben
It'll be good to meet you again! I'll be in touch about somewhere to shoot in the morning. What about the Globe theatre and the south bank if we are doing the city in the pm?

Carl - if you want to meet up earlier let us know -

Since we are doing the Temple to Fleet Street area (which is really the east of the West End) in the afternoon, how about doing the City itself in the morning for any early arrivals?

We could meet up at Liverpool St Station and walk past the NatWest Tower (now Tower 42), the Gherkin, maybe the Monument, the Lloyds building, Bank of England, Mansion House, St Pauls, and up to Holborn. On a quick walk, that route will take 30-40 minutes. On a (r)ambling shoot, maybe 1.5 to 2 hours?
