Please, please fix my ac faster!
I'm sitting in a 90 degree apartment trying to do post on images from Monday. And it's just too hot to sit at my main PC. Waaaahhh! |

If you're looking for suggestions on how to keep cool without the a/c...
wet a hand towel or washcloth with cold water and drape it over your shoulders or around your neck... get a large bowl (or a roasting pan) and fill with cold water and put your feet in... put a large bowl of ice water in front of a small fan (assuming you have a small fan)... go to Wal*MArt to the sporting goods section and get one of the 'Mira-Cool' cooling neckerchiefs (I think they're with the tennis things)(and they work really well)... suck on ice chips... or (my favorite) give up for now, go see a movie, and wait till it cools down a bit before you go home!
:)

KaDi hands Clara a bag of ice wrapped in a towel to put on the back of her neck....and vigorously waves "hi" while holding large palm fans.
=) Good wishes blowing your way! |

And let me just say that last night was no fun at all.
You know it's hot when the cats are looking for zippers on their fur...
Think quick AC repair thoughts. |

At night or when it cools down, open 2 windows at opposite sides of your apartment. Put a fan blowing out one of the windows to blow the hot air out and draw the cooler air in from the other side. |

The update, the central AC is now fixed, but because the idiots didn't change the filters in MAY when it was COOLER, they overloaded the system. SO they are changing filters tonight between 5-8pm.
I will refrain from saying what's on my mind. :) |
