Is the Selective Color function in photoshop legal for non-editing challenges?

I think this one has been deemed usable in the past. I asked this a while ago and was told it was OK since no masking or selection tools were used to generate it... Adjusting the Red in levels is allowed so I am guessing selective color is also...

The selective color function is applied to the whole image, therefore no spot editing is involved. It's a tool you can use legally.
