I was out this weekend and took a few pictures with a rebel XT, parameter set at B/W. When I went to look at them in RSE all the B/W pictures converted to color in the preview window. How can I edit them as shot(b/w) or can I? Is there a work around if I can't. Any suggestions?

RSE is for converting RAW files - The B&W parm only applies to JPG. You can convert to B&W from the RAW by pulling down the Sat to -100 (I assume it's the same as RSP which I have). You migth get better results with the Canon DPP because it lets you apply filters over B&W whereas RSP (and I assume RSE) do not.
