They say a picture's worth a thousand words. That may be true, but surely we can spare a few for this picture ('twas made using two lighters):

I dance with glee
As I am free
To light away
On this night today

Let the flames rise
'Till the morning arrives
Let me burn bright
Then I will feel alive.

Feel free, anyone, to come up with other poems inspired by this picture. Cheers :).

I looked at the image
and thought it was fine
two butterflies mating
each with a spine

Maybe they're angels
I don't really know
but one thing's for certain
I gotta go

I saw this picture
and words it spoke.
A beauty within
hidden by a cloak.

I poked, I prodded
and would you believe.
A star emerged,
a flower from a leaf.

Every true soul
has a gem within.
Look deep inside
and they will let you in.

Tread gently at first
the crystal might break.
But all within time
a diamond you will create.

The kaleidoscope
reveals all to you.
The pattern of nothing
it's colours will show true.

A Kaleidoscope of the original.

There's something fishy
In creating poems out of thin air
Art Roflmao found the answer
And saved some of us from despair

It's a journey away from the deep and spiritual
A sense of being, distant from an emotional pile
If anything it should condemn the pitiful
And simply allow your face to smile.

Me, I will take part from my poetic endeavours
And drown myself in thoughts of simple pleasures
Goodbye to those who attempted to empower their words
Hello to those who saw the cyber butterfly for what it's truly worth.

Gather around wee ones
For a tale of fire I shall tell
Of how man tamed the red tongue
And we came out of our private Hell

One stormy night gathered in fright
We all huddled and cornered in the dark
Without any light to show our way
Despair soon came to dismay

But lo and fro a saviour amongst us
He shouted to the top of his lungs
And held out two stones for us
So his work could finally begin

He struct once, twice and thrice he did
Both stones together as lovers robbed in their passion
A multitude of sparks was born and died at each strike
Until one of these caught some wood in the night

A tongue of deepest red came to us
Slowly growing around the burning wood
Warmth and light gathered around the cave
And our saviour just smiled and went away

His destiny and end were never known
Yet his deeds are carried to this day
We conmemorate his gift to us that saved us from shadow
We strike once, twice, thrice to let the sparks be born again

And we are never alone, gathered around the light.
