Off to my first assignment as a intern for a magazine here in Austin. Couldn't have picked somthing harder, they want me to go downtown and shoot pictures of the nightlife involving students. Its cool with me I know alot of the head bartenders and some bands that frequent the area so I have full access ( and im a student myself). My only issue is I have never shot low light with an slr, and I JUST got my 50mm 1.8 this morning and shot off about 100 pics before work. It should be intresting,I will post my results later tonight, much later haha. Sucks I work 12 hour fri-sat too.

| OK, dont have anyhting to post yet as I have to be back to my other job here in 30 min and back out after that, I got a few decent shots but was so excited I left it on 1.8 the whole time and DOF was messing with the focusing of groups of kids so Im going to use the flash and set it to like 3.5 or somthing tonight ,see what I get. |

I've done assignments like this... it's really tough, much harder than it looks. I hope you have a good external flash. Good luck!

no external flash :(, yet....poor college student syndrom...again their previous attempts that they actually printed in the magazine were with 3-4-5 mp point and shoots so anything is an improvment.
Here are two good shots from last night, theres a bunch more but don't have the time to uplaod to my site, I need to subscribe to dp :)
Oh yeah, I LOVE MY 1.8....
