actually i'm bummed that my score has dropped as well! i hope i don't jinx this as I am scoring my best portrait and image to date ;)
i was hovering at 8.03 but the last 24 hours has been bad for me and for everyone else it seems. i am now at:

Well crap, and I thought mick was the only one in rare air. The final 4 will be interesting...
People have thought I was pessimistic when I said I wasn't going to make the Top 10. We'll see if that bears out or not. I'm now 99.9% positive I'm not in the Top 4. |

I've decided that I'm not going to post my stats here any more. It might cause some people to become depressed over their own score.
I will say though that if you're looking to win a blue ribbon, then you should do yourself a favor and start working real hard on the next challenge. :)

Hey just keep at it, I am also 100% self taught, Ijust figure things out as I go along, read books and articles on the internet and experiment.
I don´t remember who said it but this quote makes a lot of sense. "I´ts easy to become a good photographer, you just have to accept that your first 50.000 photos suck!" |
I totally disagree with the last portion of this quote... If this were the case, then I still make crappy photos--doubt it--but then I'm an extremely fast learner at things too, so that may set me apart from the rest. |
