he he he... I think I should also take a break for a while, Team OUtcasts will suffer though... :)

I'm sitting with an average portrait shot and a DNMC 4.9 average in something old...

*Edit* I also updated my porti a bit so DPC has officially taken over my life and soul... :)

I didn't get one yet, Crayon. Looking forward for one.

I have to admit that it is more difficult for me to comment on a photo when I am in the challenge too. I usually only comment if I think the photo is exeptional. Yes, I'm proud. Sorry.

I am looking for a mentor. I need a different point of view than what I am getting at home. Is anyone out there who does this for a living will to help a new photographer out. I am self taught and am better at the capturing than the technical aspects of photography. Help.

You are doing fine. I once heard a quote by an artist where he said, "you don't choose art, art chooses you". That is so true for me... I am self-taught as well, but I feel that if somebody has a passion for something, or a "calling", if you will, then this will reverberate through them and their work, regardless of whether they have been to a formal school or not. I agree with the commenter before me, you have certainly played by the "rules" in much of your photography whether you knew you did or not; that's what I call a photographic eye.

lol You may be so good that people don't feel the need to give comments. Let's face it... Perfection cannot be improved upon. ;-)

Hey just keep at it, I am also 100% self taught, Ijust figure things out as I go along, read books and articles on the internet and experiment.

I don´t remember who said it but this quote makes a lot of sense. "I´ts easy to become a good photographer, you just have to accept that your first 50.000 photos suck!"
