I'm entering this one in a competition real soon and they require a title. I Called it "Decisions, Decisions" as one of those quick DPC titles (for me the hummer was trying to decide what flower to drink from)...

Any thoughts on a more fitting title?

Thanks...Andy

What's the theme or category you're entering the photo in? Sometimes that can play a role in choosing a title.

For the fair, and would fall under a general class: Color, Nature...

"Suspension" and "Instant of Insertion" come to mind... Be good to know what the contest theme or topic is.

R.

Ah, I see now...

First off, VERY nice image. Great capture.

Glad your asking about a new title, sorry but Decisions Decisions doesn't really do it justice and it really doesn't show a decision very well.

I almost think "Frozen in a Moment" or a fun one maybe "Fast Food" or simply the name of the hummingbird such as "Red Breasted Hummingbird" or whatever it is since I doubt it is a red breasted...maybe North American.

Good luck on the competition.

I like these ideas best -- I'm usually better at titles than photos, and I've been pretty stumped by this too.
If you can ID the bird, using the scientific/Latin name always looks impressive (or is it pretentious?).

Also, given the composition, with two main elements, you might also modify sabphoto's idea like this:

Fast ... Food.

Beautiful photo.

"Aperitif" (because the flower is so frilly)

"Drink the Pink" (sorry...Spinal Tap ref ;-)

"Transparency" (wings and objective)

"Beckoning" (the fronds of the flower)

I wonder whether the name of the flower would help - to me it looks like a Mimosa - which might be an interesting title since that's also a beverage.

Good luck :)
