Hi
Anyone using a drawing pen and pad instead of the mouse to post-process your photography ? if so, which would you recommand.

The top brand for these tablets (which is what they're called) is Wacom. they make great tablets from smaller 4x5(i think) consumer, to 4x5-12x12 professional tablets. I myself have a 6x8 Intuos SE (they have the intuos 2 out now) and i love it. it's always sitting there next to my keyboard until the next time i need to use it.

You can find cheaper knockoffs, but i have seen people dissapointed by them. I have never heard of anyone complaining about a wacom though, which is why i went with them.

| I recently got a wacom and though haven't used it lots yet, seems to work quite well, takes a little time to get used to feel of it. : ) |

Thanks. I will look for it. I've seen it adverstised for 175$Us, is it what you've paid?

I'd check EBay search WACOM TABLET first Nathalie. Things are usually cheaper there, even if you include shipping and duty into Canada.

Just ordered a Wacom Graphire 2 at Amazon.co.uk, complete with Photoshop Elements 2 (Use PS6 on my pc, Elements is for my laptop), a filter kit for Photoshop (developed for the tablets) and some other tools. Added 2 books +shipping, total price is what I would pay at a store in The Netherlands for the Wacom kit only, excluding transport.
Chose the Graphire 2 for the price and someone I talked to (who works in the editing/printing business) said that 4x6 is good enough for normal use.
My intention is to let the pen replace the mouse for all my work. I am going to try to control every program with it.
One of the LCD tablets would be cool, but they cost the same as a dSLR. :)
