I thought this was one of the most fun challenges I've been around for.. Really looking forward to what others came up with.

HI,

I badly wanted to take part in the "Inside Looking Out" challenge, as I felt that this photo that I took clearly matched the requirements and also this happens to be one of my most favourite photos. Somehow I managed to miss this challenge. Anyway, my bad luck. Can you please critic this photo and let me know your opinion on how this would have fared in the challenge?

As I browse this challenge, I am a bit baffled on how to vote on some of the images. My own mind told me that "inside looking out" should give the viewer the feeling that he/she is inside looking out at something.... In a lot of these photos, I get the distinct feeling that I'm outside looking in.

Some of the photos give me the feeling that I'm outside looking in at something that is inside looking out :)

Fun topic here for sure :)

Hi Vishwanath...I like the image, very emotional capture and probably would meet the challenge..but it does not have any particular "Wow!" effect and based on the usual voting records would probably be in the top 25% but not a winner. Very nice lighting though...like it a lot!

I think that's why D&L left it wide open. Any subject "inside looking out" works for me here. Some aren't even that, I agree...but most are.

Ceovishy, I like the image very much. It brings out emotions and I like that. I like the composition. Had it been in the challenge I would have given it a 7 or 8..

This is a pic I rejected as having no wow factor.
considering how well the pic I submited is doing maybe I should have submited this anyway

ceovishy, I really like it. But I think I need to see it without the black background of that pbase page. probably 6--8 from me

I get the distinct impression from the couple of comments (on my entry) that the overall opinion is that the images should have been taken from inside a building of some sort. I took my shot outdoors but I was physically "inside" something, IMO. The couple of comments I got told me I was outside looking in. Thank you for straightening me out on that.LOL So much for once doing a "loose" interpretation of a theme.

nothing loose about it

"Photograph your interpretation of this challenge title. Be creative, and have fun"

I think that gives plenty of lattatude. More likely you would vote something down for not being creative or looking like the photog didn't have fun.

You can be creative as much as you wanted ,but the problem is that voters are not and if your photo doesn't have window looking outside you will be bombarded with 1's and 2's like mine is :-(
