Hi!
i wanted to shoot a cup of tea with a very slow shutter speed. i wanted the steam/fume that came out of the glass will smear. so i set a long exposure... but the camera then remarked me with red that the maximum (or should i say minimum) aperture if F8... i took the picture anyway - & indeed it came out burned.
so - how to shoot with long exposures with the A510?
thanks

I think you could use an ND filter. It's like sunglasses for your camera. I have an A95, which looks like the same body as your camera, and there's an adapter you can get which allows you to put filters on.

Look closely at this shot. That's my A95 with the adapter and a polarizer on it.

If you want to try rigging something up quick, you could get some cardboard, tape, and dark sunglasses, and make your own ND filter.
