What slideshow software is everyone using with their Macs? I wanted to get Proshow gold but it is not compatible.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks! |

If I want to do an impromptu slideshow, I use Canon's Image Browser.

I don't use any dedicated slideshow software, but iView Media, Canon's ImageBrowser, and GraphicConverter all do a decent job. The first one is particularly handy in letting you organize the show in thumbnail view (just drag them around like slides on a light-table), and then save the show. It's also cross-platform. |

I just use iLife -- iPhoto, and if I want it on a DVD, iMovie and iDVD.

Export as QT movie or import to iDVD. |

The Mac I use is a 12" iBook. I use the video-out to drive a large monitor or TV directly, but to send to friends/relatives I use iDVD because the DVD is basically universal (PC/Mac/TV). I've also used HTML files on a CD, but it doesn't look as nice and can't handle a sound track.
If you go through iMovie before iDVD then it's possible to add DVD chapters, which is important if you have a lot to distribute.
On a somewhat related issue, I've found Keynote excellent for making title slides. |
