I was just wandering through the results. I didn't vote in Round and so I hadn't seen a lot of the photos except as thumbnails.

I will now completely and utterly stop trying to guess what voters on this site really want...and NOT because of any scores I received.

There were so many wonderful photos in round that were absolutely ROBBED when it comes to scores.

Congrats to all who submitted...we knew this was going to be a nit-picky challenge and yet we were brave enough to step into the tempest.

Shari (who was, btw, pleasantly surprised that her Round shot did as well as it did)

I was shocked at the results, too. There were a lot of excellent photos, but none of my favorites made it above 20th place.

No ribbons for me but I am very happy with my 11th place finish in the "round contest", considering all the wonderful entries.
It shows I am improving. DP Challenge is definitely a learning experience! After seeing my early results in "Trends", I'm a little disappointed but nobody ever said it was gonna be easy. I'll keep plugging away.

I have to admit, I didn't get around to voting this week, but I do agree that some images in this challenge got robbed! BIG TIME!

There was one image I didn't feel should have made it into the top 10, particularly because I feel that number 14th, 15th AND 16th place were much better.

IMHO ;-)

so would that be three images in top ten that didnt make it coz of 14,15,16 or just 1 in particular.

Yes!! there one which is particularly bad in the top 10 but does that really matter... The populist opinion I mean :D

Duh to me - what is this all about

I didn't get through voting on all the entries, but I got to about half of them. The interesting thing: I only votee on two of the top 10, and none of the ribbon winners! Weird coincidence. (And, in the midst of all this complaining, congrats to the winners. All three were great shots.)

There are 1 or 2 in the top 10 that I might move out, but on the flip side, of the 3 davisjl pointed out, the two I voted on I only gave 5s - I didn't find them technically all that appealing.

The one that stood out to me as a "travesty" was Religous Roundness by Chez. I can't believe that ended up all the way down at 64th place! That shot had round within round, surrounded by round, ringed in round! And it was a great shot to boot.

Oh well, what's past is past, on to to garden....

The quality of the shot, the challenge being met and the artistic ability to convey the challenge all come in to play. Some individuals on here can not see beyond the subject in the photo..which is truly, very, very sad....

about the one that shouldnt be in the top ten. I am curious to know which one. there is one that couldve been better technically ie contrast, but it is otherwise a good photo and deserves to be there.

basically all were voted into the top ten so they deserve to be there.

maybe you should a send a comment to the photographer and be a bit more constructive with what you have to say.

Of course they all won fair and square. These are all just opinions. It would just get really repetitive to have to start or end every post with "In my opinion...".

And I wouldn't be surprised if everyone who stated that opinion had a different top 10 finisher that they thought was the one that shouldn't be there. But most people aren't going to be so rude as to single one out. Usually.

In my opinion...
