I think it would be intresting to have a challenge like a semi-free study without any definition(s) regarding the challenge where you can explain the photo and tell others what does it mean or what emotion would you like to express. And all these details to be shown next to the photo during voting. I know it a bit of work changing the site,but I guess it's worthy trying. How do you feel about it?

I wouldn't like it either. A photo is a communication. It needs to convey a story ro an emotion. If it needs explaining then it really hasn't fulfilled its role.

Nice thought, but it would in most cases destroy anonymity. would would destroy any chance there would be of an impartial vote.

But if you post a photo which has a different take on the challenge(not necessarily out of the box) maybe a lot of people wouldn't understand the message. |

I've been disappointed in the number of photos that depend on the Title to convince you it meets the challenge; e.g. City Life images that could have been taken anywhere, so the word "City" is in the title. I agree that the image should tell the story. Further explanation is, IMO, inappropriate. |
