Here are some quick edits from our first maternity shoot. I'm not a big fan of the hotspot I created...maybe better luck tomorrow on that one. :)
Thanks!

Beautiful! I'm an enormous fan of the pregnancy images that I see and these are just gorgeous. My personal favourite is the last one with the slight sepia toning. Very emotive! |

It would be an awesome way to look back and remember it in a few years time :)

I think 7.5-8 months is the perfect time to shoot Maternity. Big belly but not HUGE and also mom's usually haven't started to get that end of PG puffyness going on.
Great Job, BTW love them all! |

Was looking through maternity galleries to get some ideas (I'm 36 weeks myself) and checked out mavrik's suggested websites, then later came across this one:

Wonder who's copying whom and if the original designer is aware of it? :) |

They aren't copying.

A TON of photographers use this template from bludomain. It's very popular.

Heather's work is terrific. Make sure you book WAY in advance. |

If you ask around, Heather and Audrey Woulard and Jen Loomis are THE top 3 maternity photographers. We spent all day yesterday on Heather's site trying to "figure" it out - some we did, some... back to the drawing board!

Yeah, those are the sources I used for inspiration too. Very difficult to capture the moment the way they do! I guess that's why they're the top in their field!!! Oh well, it gives us something to shoot for!

I prefer the top photo....I really like the Heart shape that the hands are forming. Very nice. |

I'll definitely add some more later - only 1 and 4 are good from this group, I agree. I like some of the other stuff I'm doing now! :D

I think those look nice. I like the last one the best. Is the husband not keen on being in the shots? I look forward to seeing your next set!
Here are some that I took. She was more than 8 months pregnant, but really small compared to a lot of mom's to be. I hope to do more like these in the future. I particularly like to do more with the couples.
Thanks for sharing yours.

Thanks for the comments that are on the photos! :) I know her 'slip' is wrinkly - it is actually a piece of background we use for some pleated effects. :)
