Time for the overrated/underrated photos of the challenge.
Besides my own, I think that these should have finished higher:
- excellent lighting, way better than the average
- DPC should have accepted this one better?
- 97th place! Chit!

and if you want to comment on this one - you're welcome; I'd really like to understand what went so wrong with it.

I left you a rather lengthy comment Srdan. Take it for what it is. I was just brutally honest as it seems that was what you wanted.

Thanks for including my poor, unloved shot on the list :-) I commented to yours at some length.

It's highly underrated Robert. Left you a comment friend.

i particularly like this image very much, it looks like impressionistic painting of Monet. Bad thing is i did not vote on this challenge, so you left at least 9 on this.

You're welcome! Commenteers' vote on yours was 8.643 - take that as a good sign of things to come!

I loved this one and gave it an 8, still can't work out how it few people voted 8 or above for it.

This image has cheater written all over it !! it would make a great poster for anti-drugs in sport campaign.

This is driving me mad. I'm either over-analysing this one, or I'm totally missing the point!

I spent another few minutes looking at it this morning in conjunction with the poem. I can see the link between the poem and the shot, but it appears to be more of an 'illusion' than a 'cheat' to me.

Uh-oh. I made it into a "should have scored higher thread". ;^) Not sure if that's a good thing or not. He-he.

Thanks srdanz (I think). Just kidding really.

I couldn't get past the vision of kids at a desk, or card cheating so I wasn't going to enter. Then last day of the challenge deadline I was out in the yard dealing with these leaves, thinking to myself - thank goodness for this mulching machine. Then thought about how it was kind of taking the easy way out..bingo, cheating! Grabbed the camera and the rest is history. Win some, lose some. ;^)

Maybe it's just because he's such a good friend, but I think rayg544 got "Cheated" too. I love this shot and think the overall score should be closer to the "commenters" average score.

The first sentence of the challenge: "Deception is the name of the game." That's followed by reference to "someone or something that...isn't playing by the rules"... I thought that an inverted image comfortably fell within these guidelines. Perhaps not startlingly original, but...

...but more original than cards and dice! :)

The image is beautiful; perhaps I was analysing it too much.

ok i don't really feel cheated..a score is a score nothing more..
I know that I don't like to make it too obvious..can't help it..

but hey i think I may have had the most fun shooting..or at least just prior to shooting..and probably am the only one to get hit on the ass all in the line of duty..
